This re-release of our 2011 Collaborations Series No. 2 White IPA brings back the unique marriage of a classic Belgian wittier to an American IPA. We enjoyed the experience so much the first time around that we happily pressed Control+C (Command+C for Mac), and Reboot was born. Version 2.0 has upgraded its spicy aroma, with hints of bubblegum and clove. Bold flavors will launch upon uncorking, as sage and lemongrass balance the tangy, zesty wheat malt profile. Rather than merely blending a wittier with an IPA, Reboot harmonizes distinctly fruity Belgian yeast overtones with big, fruity American hop notes by creating an herbal bridge between these two somewhat contradictory flavors. The beer's complexity os supported by a spritzy effervescence, finishing dry, with lingering hop notes.

    Aroma: 9 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 9 | Overall: 8

Comes out of the bottle a hazy solar yellow with a good ivory head. Aroma is more yeasty than hoppy, more like a Belgian, with a strong fruity note. Flavor has a hoppy core that supports fruity, yeasty, butterscotch, coriander and sweet malt notes. Texture is smooth and viscous with a subtle but persistent tingle. Have one - reboot - call a taxi.

Pours a nice bright hazy golden color. There is a nice dense white head that leaves some decent lacing. Aroma is wonderful starts off with grainy and bready notes followed up quickly by some spice qualities. Notes of coriander mixed in with some clove. Slight sugary sweetness creeps up while then some nice bright and grassy hop notes come up. The hop notes are fresh and slightly citrus with some very mild pine. Flavor starts with the citrus and slightly pungent hop notes. Hints of clove are present as well as some nice bready wheat with some slightly sweet yeast notes. Great balance between the spice and sweet notes with nice citrus, grassy and herbal. Mouthfeel is light and refreshing.

Sampled from bottle. Pours yellow with a faint haze, lasting white head and nice lacing. Very complex, spicy, herbal, citrus, floral aroma. Balanced towards bitter with a zesty hop bite accompanying the belgian yeast spiciness. Bitterness lingers from the resinous flavor hops. Medium-bodied and well carbonated. Worth a try.
