http://www.bogironbrewing.com/#theBeers Every brewery has to have an IPA, right? The Stinger is our IPA and it is slightly different, because we use locally-sourced honey as a main ingredient. What makes that special? Well, honey ferments almost completely out of the beer leaving very little flavor, the honey flavors that do remain blend very well with the floral and cirtusy hop flavors. By using honey, we were able to cut back on the malt flavors in the beer while pushing forward and showcasing the hops... and there is no shortage of hops in this beer with increasing amounts of hops added during the boil and multiple dry-hop additions of Cascade, Columbus, Magnum, and Summit hops. The end result is a clean, crisp, bitter, and hoppy American IPA that really lets you know you're drinking a hoppy beer, without it being a 'hop-bomb' that goes all nuclear on your taste buds.
