Rauchbier : letteralmente " birra affumicata ". Prodotta tutto l'anno. Solo in bottiglia da 50 Cl.

500 ml capped bottle bought at the brewery. Poured in a glass krug a gushing unfiltered and cloudy orange-brown coloured Rauchbier with a generous two fingers slight beige foamy head that had a very long retention and tons of micro bubbles. Active carbonation. Good lacing. The aroma is roasted malts and overwhelmed by the Rauch smell ( affumicata ). The flavour is sweety grainy malts, a noticeable touch of floral hops and always a very present smoky sensation. The mouthfeel is crispy, very smooth, the smoky feeling is no way aggressive. This medium bodied Rauchbier has a long smoky finish. A very nice tasting surprise from a tiny brewery out of the way in the Italian Alpen of the South-Piemont.
