So named because it had to endure long sea voyages from breweries in England to outposts on the fringes of the British Empire. IPA is a high alcohol, well-hopped brew to enable it to last the voyage and not spoil.

Nice IPA, clean and crisp.Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7
Bomber pours deep clear gold with thin white head. The aroma is moderate with malty sweetness, some modest citrus, spice and a touch of earthiness. The taste has a pulse of lemon tartness moving into citrus, a bit of grassiness, pine and a sense of floral hops. It has a nice backbone of malts. Decent enough IPA but thin and seems a bit lacking in depth.

Bottle: Poured a orange with a light head. Aroma was fruit and hops. Taste was fruit with a nice hoppy balance. This beer has probably mellowed since its orginal state.

a solid, highly aromatic effort from blue frog. the taste is great, the body is regular (thinner) ipa, but the taste could be mistaken for an imperial.

Tasted at the 9th Annual Bistro IPA Festival (2006). This IPA pours a orange gold color. Small sized white foamy head. Aroma is orange and fruity with a hint of cinnamon. A medium bodied IPA. Malts are fruity, orange and caramel. Hops are grapefruity, floral and herbal. Medium to light bitterness for an IPA. Lots of orange flavors. Good carbonation. Good session IPA. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter
