Our Winter Warmer is a classic dubbel-style ale that warms body and soul through the chill of Winter and Fall. We enjoy the chewy, malty flavors mingling with a slight fruitiness and raisin character but aromas and flavors will continue to evolve. Our bottle-conditioning leaves some sediment, so store cool, then decant by slowly pouring into two wide mouth glaass to enjoy with a friend. Ale brewed with raisins.

not quite textbook for the style, but a decent offering for this brewer. a little more chocolateyness than expected, especially in the flavor. caranel, dough and a slight hopiness in the aroma and on the palate. hides the alcohol, even to the point of being thin for a strong brew. not bad.

An ale brewed with raisins. Is their suet and ground beef too? Is this a traditional mince meat beer? Actually, it's not a bad beer. A light mahogany pour with almost no head. Aroma is sweet malt, caramel, sugar, fruit, and yeast.

Pours a muddy cocoa brown, the barely present fizzy head disappears real quickly. Tastes of chocolate, caramel, raisins, and a little alcohol. aroma consists of caramel and a little alcohol. Some of that sweet caramel lasts into the aftertaste, like as if i had just swallowed one of those little cellophane-wrapped cubes. I was expecting more from this than what I received. Oh well, that seems to be the way with some of the Bison beers.

Courtesy of trade with jlozier. Pours an opaque coca-cola brown with a thin head that disappears quickly leaving no lacing. Some carbonation. Aromas of ripe sweet fruits, raisins, dates and sweet brown sugar with some malts. Thick like a Scottish Ale and a little malty but sweet and ripe fruitiness in flavor with a touch of hops in the finish. Rich, creamy and a little bite of alcohol in the end. Thank you Jayson.

Another nice offering from Bison. I had found this one several months ago at BevMo (I think) and had been waiting a few months to try it. I quite enjoyed this beer, and have rarely been disappointed by Bison. The beer pours out a brownish/red body, with a small off-white head. Aroma is decidedly sweet, with a dark fruity maltiness being quite pronounced. Some earthyness and spices also round out the aroma. Flavors had a cinnanom-raisin thing going on, with light touches of vanilla, burnt sugar and yeast. Pretty tasty stuff!

This Abbey Dubbel pours a deep reddish copper color from a 22oz bottle. Medium sized white foamy head. Aroma is fruity, malty, sweet, chocolate and rum, with a touch of raisins. A medium bodied dubbel. Malts are caramel, dark fruit and raisins. Sweet and smooth. There is only a touch of hops noticeable. A touch sweet and fruity. This is a very nice beer. Another in a line of nice beers from Bison lately, kind of a return to the old days for these guys. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.
