Black, without any foam remaining. Light coffee aroma, equal in taste. Not outspoken, bit flat, coffee and chocolate notes, light bitter. Bit dissapointing. (Milano 201512)

This is one dark pour. Coal black with a dark brown cap. Beautiful to look at. There is plenty of coffee, chocolate, and roast in the aroma to keep a stout lover happy. The flavour is very malty with a host of coffee and chocolate complexity.

Italians making craft beer huh? Cool! I am happy to see so many cool Euro brewers abandoning the styles of heritage and experimenting and sending it across the Atlantic to boot! This stout pour black, really really truly opaque. Tan head, reasonable retention (15 min in there is still some bubbles around the rim of the beer. Strong coffee/black patent/dark toast on the aroma. I suppose I get some cracker too. As I tip the glass I notice that beer seems fairly filtered. Taste is stout like, with a red wine like texture and a latent spice/acid. It could be the pepper that others have mentioned. I do not love the mouth feel yet, half way through I am still getting used to it. It is thin to medium bodied but seems gently tannic despite its apparent filtration. Some nut like textures show up as well. Cold coffee emerges as the beer warms. Definitely a latent bitterness that makes me think of earthy northern brewers hops. Ante notices some mild lemon. I cannot find this, but I strangely have something like lemon candy when I burp. This could again be attributed to the pepper. Points for uniqueness, will seek out again, beautiful bottle.

330 ml capped bottle, as a 8.2 % ABV. Poured an unpasteurized and opaque black coloured Imperial Stout with a huge three fingers thick and tan creamy foamy head that hat a giant retention and tons of micro bubbles. Soft carbonation. Good lacing. The aroma is strong roasted coffee beans, dark roasted malts, dark chocolate and molasses. The flavour is like a great cup of coffee, dark chocolate, a touch of fruits, spicy with pepper emerging in a second time. The mouthfeel is creamy, prickly and a bit oily. This medium bodied Stout has a lingering roasted coffee beans finish. A powerful Imperial Stout. Quite impressive. A well done Italian brew. Forza Italia !

just over 8% these days, brewed with peppers, but the velvety smoothness is the star of the show here. aroma subdued and "new" while the cholately malt, coffee flavor, with just a hint of pepper at the back end was nice as well.

Bottle: Poured a deep pitch-black color stout with a large foamy head with deep dirty brown color head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of deep roasted malt with coffee notes. Taste has also loads of character with great roasted notes and some deep coffee notes with some dry black chocolate notes also noticeable. Body is quite full with great smooth texture with great carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Very well done with load of character though still easily drinkable. Nice mix between a cappuccino and an imperial stout.

Pours out in an almost black colour with red edges. Small creamy pale brown head. Big and solid aroma of cocoa, coffee, dark chocolate, figs, crackers and mild lemon. Full-bodied with notes of cocoa, nuts, crackers, dried fruits and anise. Mild carbonation. Long, full but still really well-balanced finish of nuts, anise and dark chocolate.
