This beer was one of the worst beers I have tried in a long time. Here in Brandon, Manitoba the local newspaper gave it a review a few years back comparing it to a combination of Lucky Lager meets Molson Canadian, they weren't lying, but it's slightly worse than that. I was hoping better from Big Rock, their beers are generally good. @lenusik the reason why this beer was made was to celebrate the 125th birthday of Brandon, Manitoba and surrounding area. Its as if they actually got this beer out of the Assiniboine River!

I'm still trying to figure out why an Alberta Brewery would make a beer based on a region of Manitoba, and leave out the rest of the provinces. A typical pale lager with a grassy flavour. Decent, but not great.

A pretty decent lager. I didn't know what to really expect with this but it was a fairly good beer.

Proud to say that this beer was dedicated to home town of Brandon Manitoba. Assiniboine is not your traditional lager, it has a wheaty taste that satisfies like no other. I had my first one and couldnt put another down till I pounded down 15. The beer is brewed in Calgary but god damnit id like to think came out of the Wheat City, it's that good. Easily Big Rocks best beer.
