Comes out of the tap opaque dark chocolate brown with a thin tan head. Smoky malt aroma has a hoppy undertone. Flavor has a nice balance of roast malt and woody hops, plus notes of caramel and horehound. Texture is a bit thin and not fizzy. Overall, though, a very worthy brew.
