Pours a real dark brown colour, really black with no highlights I can see. The head is frothy, light mocha-coloured, with decent stay and some foamy patches of lacing. The nose is quite nutty, with the roasted malts and other cereal grain notes. Could smell the cocoa nibs at first pour, but seemed to have calm down, and let some coffee notes appear. As soon as you put it in your mouth, you can feel the light mouthfeel and no alcohol business. Still, the taste is alright, as this is a dark brew, showing some roasted malts with hops in the finish, and hints of chocolate, coffee. Well done for such a low alcohol content.

Bottle. Colour - solid black, thick bubbly head, short-lived. Aroma - coffee, roasted malt, Nutella. Palate - light bodied. Flavour - dark chocolate, coffee, leather. Overall - first non-alcoholic I've ever seen. Not quite on the mark.

The beer pours a lively coca-cola colour with a thin rocky brown head which lasts a few minutes. The aroma is roasted malt, coffee, and dark chocolate. So far, so good. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with below average carbonation. The flavour is cold coffee. So, while it looks good, and the taste certainly isn’t offensive, the lack of alcohol works against the flavour profile in less than appreciative way
