Dark brown colour with some ruby highlights, a frothy mocha-coloured head with average stay, leaving a thin coating on the brew. Roasted barley nose with a touch of dark fruits and hints of molasses. The mouthfeel is smooth, slightly oily, but a nice building hoppy dryness does appear with time. The malted barley continues in the taste with again, a blend of that dark fruitiness, molasses, but some coffee does show up and tad cacao. The grassy-piney mild hops left, lingers. Quite a decent Stout with the roasted malt shinning the whole way, and hops that just come out at the right time.

The beer pours a solid black colour with a thin light brown head which actually gets a bit thicker within a couple of minutes of the pour. The aroma is roasted malt, coffee, and dark chocolate. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is similar to the aroma. Solid stout, no surprises. Considering that the brewery specializes in wild ales, I wasn’t sure what to expect from the stout.
