Part of the 2018 Belhaven Craft Christmas 6-Pack. The beer poured a translucent amber gold with a very thin white film for a head. The aroma was heavy on the oak and the caramel, with light hints of herbal hops and cereal malt in behind. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with average carbonation and a slight creaminess. The flavour was along the lines of the aroma with sweet caramel, toasted grains, and vanilla wrapped in oaky notes, followed by a decent bitter finish. -

330 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet, nettbutikken. ABV is 6.5%. Deep golden to copper colour, moderate white (or slightly off-white) head. Moderate aroma of malts, whisky, oak and vanilla. Medium sweet flavour of malts, caramel, toffee, fudge, whisky, oak, raisins and vanilla, some very moderate hops in the finish.

330ml bottle from mixed 6 pack. Pours an average size frothy white head and has a fairly clear pale golden appearance. Some decent lacing, not much. Aromas of barley malts, very faint scotch like hints. Flavours are somewhat sweet, some toasted malts, hints of vanilla. A little bit of scotch notes do come through, but pretty subtle. Has an oily and quite slick mouthfeel. Pretty good.

Part of their Merry Craftmas 6-pack. Pours a clean golden colour with an amber hue. The warm cap has decent retention and good lacing. Malty nose with some sweet grain notes. Some caramel. The taste is sweet with the vanilla from the oak. The caramel helping again. Some nice grain, some bad sweetness. Could not have another. Too rich.
