This ruddy-toned malty lager was enhanced with an addition of hand-pressed cider from more than 200 lbs of certified organic apples, and spiced with a dose of real cinnamon. Malty, sweet and bready, this fruit-and-spice beer is inspired by “lamb’s wool,” an old Irish tradition of brewing cider-beer hybrids during the fall apple harvest – the use of a German lager yeast makes it perfect for Oktoberfest. “Universal Gravitation” Apfelbier is brought to you by Team Orkin. Tasting Notes “Universal Gravitation” Apfelbier is a rich, malty beer with clean lager character. Pours a deep reddish brown. The taste is of toasty crusts of bread, with slight sulfur. The finish is mild apple-fruit and cinnamon. Mouthfeel is full, and slightly acidic. Food Pairings Brined pork en croute with apple purée; baked brie with honey-roasted apples; cream cheese & apple Danish.
