Enjoyed at gabf 2014. Hop Shovel? I need to know what Hop Shovel is all about.
It pours with a nearly opaque gold body that has copper hues and supports an off white head of foam. Nice looking IPA. Wow, the aroma is bursting with citrus tangelo hops and spicy almost dank hoppiness, yum! The taste is nice and rich and nearly chewy with microscopic hoppiness floating around yielding nearly robust levels of citrus tangelo hops that are firmly bitter but still maintaining some depth and richness linked up to a mild sweet malt bill. The tangelo, dash of juicy mango and slightly spicy notes linger and linger deep into the after taste. Wow this is a deliscout hoppy brew and with a name like Hop Shovel what more can a person want, maybe a fresh keg at home in the frig.Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 8
