Tasted at the 4th Annual Bistro Barrel Aged Beer Fest on 11/14/2009. This Belgian Strong Ale pours a med red brown color. Medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is blackberries, fruity and sweet with a hint of tart and funk. A medium bodied Belgian Strong Ale. The malts are fruity and sweet. Nice blackberry flavors. Not overly sweet or overpowering. Hides the 11% alcohol very well. A nice blend of malt, fruit, wood and tartness. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet with some tartness.
