The Grizz is back in this Limited Edition barrel aged release. Refermented in the barrel with local nectarines, the intense maltiness of The Grizz serves as a delivery vehicle for the essence of the fruit, balanced by bright nectarine acid & tannins and the earthy sour character of the native micro flora & fauna of Dry Creek Valley.

Tasted at the 5th Annual Bistro Barrel Aged Beer Fest on 11/13/2010. This Belgian Strong Ale pours a medium brown color from the tap. Medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity and sweet, tart, oak, yeast and peaches. A medium bodied Belgian Strong Ale. The malts are fruity and sweet, tart, yeasty and peaches. The hops are herbal and earthy. Nice mix of malt, fruity, wood and tartness. Nice carbonation. The oak comes out at the finish. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. The aftertaste is tart.
