22 oz bottle. Pours clear golden orange with a big big pillowy yellowish head that retains well and leaves a little lacing.
The aroma is tropical fruits, sugary malts and a some resiny hops.
The flavor is sweet bready malts with lots of tropical fruit and some dank, resiny hops with a lot of bitterness. The mouthfeel is a little thin.
Overall, a solid DIPA. -

Pours a bright, light golden color with a thick head of foam. The sticky, white bubbles last for some time. The aroma is floral, fruity hops on top of a pleasantly sweet malt backdrop. Pine sap, apricot, orange, from the hops. The malt adds honey and caramel to the mix. The taste starts off with pale malt sweetness before those floral-citrus hop flavors take over. The finish is lightly sweet with some light hop bitterness. It's definitely hop flavor over bitterness, but there is a grassy bitter note in the finish to clean things up. Feel is relatively light with a lot of hop oiliness, smooth and slightly sticky.

A cloudy orange-amber colored beer with a big frothy textured, white head rising above. There's decent hang time on the head and an impressive thick lacing of fluffed film and ringlet. In both aroma and taste the profile of citric hops, astringent is present. There's some sweetened orange in the tasting as well. Well done. Medium, effervescent body

poured as cafe racer 15: one of the better brews in the dipa fest, though not quite at the top. every hoppy beer BR has done has been quite good, and this one's no exception. big citrus and pine with just enough malt to not be a palate wrecker. a touch thicker than Racer 10.

Had at Flying Saucer, Houston .. . Saturday April 3rd 2:35pm .. . Looks spectacular, caramel gold with A+++ lacing .. . simple aromas of pine and resin sap .. . "extra tonic?" .. . abv is perfect .. . light sticky mouthfeel .. . a danger dog brew .. . warms my belly .. . How do you tell when you're out of invisible ink?

This is a pretty good IPA. It pours a thick amber with a big foam head. The smell is of bitter hops. The taste is great. Just a little lacking in depth. This is a great California beer.

Pours with a Golden -Orange body topped by a medium thick head with a good amount of lacing. It’s hoppy as hell with nice pine and grapefruit notes and an underlying maltiness. Medium bodied, oily yet dry and a touch warming.

Tasted at the 5th Annual Bistro 2XIPA Fest. Medium orange color. Small head. Aroma is malty, orange and floral. Lots of buttery flavors. A medium bodied Imperial IPA. Malts are fruity and sweet. A touch of orange and grapefruit. Lots of buttery flavors. Hops are piney, citrusy and grapefruity. Touch of alcohol bite/oiliness. Nice balance. Smooth taste. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter. OK, but a slight off taste.

I had a sample of this at the brewpub and I have to say it was a little tough to rate. It had some butterscotch flavor to it and I'm not sure if that's a mistake lead infenction or an interesting intention. In my opinion, it tasted pretty good. Being such a strong and hoppy beer, it was nice to have the added sweetness that went along with that. The nicest aspect to this bear was the amazing orange-gold color and beautiful lacing. I couldn't resist from giving it a 10. I'd like to try this beer again but I don't know if we'll ever see it bottled.
