Another beer sampled on my recent West Coast trip. The Beach Chalet is a great resaurant that overlooks the Pacific Ocean and is in the corner of Golden Gate Park. Now onto the stout...This beer pours black of course, with a decent head. The aroma is nice--plenty of roasted (almost burnt) malt and some coffee as well. The taste follows exactly. This one is heavy on the coffee flavor in the mold of a Fuller's London Porter. The mouthfeel is fine for a stout. Overall, I was glad to have stopped in and tried this place as this stout was worth the trip.
