Pours deep coffee sable with a thick and fairly persistent tan head. Aroma offers strong coffee bean, woody and bourbon, plus respectable tones of roast malt, mild pepper, chocolate, and a hint of peanut. Flavor delivers a symphony of tastes: chocolate, roast malt, quality coffee, bourbon, oak, molasses, hints of peanut and maybe licorice. Mouthfeel presents viscous body, jazzy fizz, and a smoky wood and mocha finish. A nigh-perfect beer.
