We take our year-round production Big Eye IPA and infuse fresh skinned, sliced ginger root into the beer post fermentation. The spicy Centennial hops used in Big Eye go very well with the spicy taste and aromatics from the fresh ginger root. The solid malt backbone of Big Eye also lends itself well to ginger, almost adding a candied component as it blends across your palate.

Pours clear tangerine with a thick, rather fine-bubbled and persistent buff head. Aroma delivers firm hoppy and ginger notes riding an undertone of fresh malt. Flavor presents woody hop, ginger and fresh malt notes, all combining very nicely for a bold and drinkable ale. Body is so-so, but fizz is strong. Get your big eye (but please call a taxi if it gets too big, hee hee.)

More ginger than hops in the aroma. Fresh smelling fo sho. Prickly on the palate with the hops battling for attention at the back end. Nicely done, though if you're not a fan of ginger (why are you drinking this then?) it would be a little much. Hoppy yet palate cleansing at the same time. Nice.
