750 ml corked and waxed bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 6.8%. Hazy deep golden to amber cour, large white head. Very interesting spicy and exotic aroma, notes of incense, does indeed fulfill the brewer’s intentions of bringing some the smells of the Middle East. Also notes of yeast. Interesting flavour too, complex spicy notes, fairly refreshing. The spiciness is never sharp nor burning. Intentionally lightly hopped to bring the spicy notes up front, but a little more hops would not hurt. The finish is too perfumed and "soapy", and ruins much of the pleasure for me.

Gift from Roberto, thanks. Opaque orange, white lacing foam head. Barley in aroma and taste, quite a normal beer. Little sour, still OK beer. (Velp 201512)

Admittedly, not a huge fan of sours, but this one was promising - I actually enjoyed it. Hazy golden with a thick white head sweet, floral herb aroma and flavor with a only a hint of the alcohol with a just a bid of a vinegar-like quality.

Bottle label is different from what's shown here on Beerpal, looks like it's imported to the US and the label is put on, no big deal, however, alcohol content is NOT on the label. For $18 a bottle, would be nice, you know? And it's a beercap, not a cork/harness closure - lame. For the beer, it's just an over-average ale, I cried as I drank it, because this is in such a high price range, reserved for the greatest of beers. I will never buy this again. Thankfully the money I spent on this came from recycling beer bottles. I didn't use my paycheck for this one. Not recommended.

An interestingly shaped bottle that was brought back from a friend. A hazy dark golden pour with a thin white head. Aroma is grains and spices, although the ginger isn't noticeable. Flavour is refreshing, spicy, with a nice citrusy kick to it. Good, but not worth revisiting.

Bottled (thanks Sussu & Marianne). Deep orangeish golden colour with mediumsized creamy/fluffy white head. Aroma is spices, bready malts, mild grain as well as some floral and herbal notes as well. Flavour is honey, fruits, herbs, some bready and floral notes as well. Quited spiced and fruity aftertaste. As it warms up also some alcohol begins to show.

The old ale pours a medium orange gold color from a 750ml bottle. Medium sized white foamy quickly dissipating head. The aroma is interesting, floral and spicy and slightly bready. A medium to light bodied ale. The malts are caramel and dark fruits. The hops are more spicy and herbal than hoppy. Nice beer. I can see this one being I love or hate it thing. Light and refreshing, with some very lively carbonation. The spices really contrast the malt sweetness. Starts fairly sweet, but somewhere about the middle it turns crisp and dry. Lots of citrus, lemon and herbal notes. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is crisp and dry. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Probably one of my favorite Italian beers I've rated so far. Very enjoyable in a bottle large enough to share with a friend or two (doubt I could have finished it off alone). Pours out a bright yellow/orange color, nice white head with aroma of ginger and yeast with a floral angle that keeps things interesting. There is also a bit of citrus fruit floating around which I found interesting. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, very refreshing. Flavors are spiceu and lively with notes of ginger, lemony, herbal with a nod to the alcohol content noticeable. Good job guys! Finally an Italian beer to cheer about!

This is truly a unique beer. Either you are going to *really* like it; or you'll dump it, in my opinion. Appearnce: Nora pours a hazy golden with a large white head. The head quickly dissapates. Nose. The aroma is quite interesting. It's a sweet/dry/herbal/floral smell. It almost reminds me of Campari. I can't quite place it, but I like it. Flavor: It's highly carbonated, complex, and well balanced. The use of hops for bitterness is replaced by herbs and this makes a nice change. Highly Recommended. Penso che questa birra abbia un sapore magnifico!

clear orange colour, fine creamy head and an acceptable lacing, malty, grainy and spicy, very smooth, notes of alcohol, sweet and bitter - quite interesting
