Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 10 | Mouthfeel: 9 | Flavor: 9 | Overall: 9
Pours dark chocolate brown that lets in a little daylight at the bottom. Thick head is tan and fairly persistent. Aroma offers roast malt, orange and piney hop tones. Flavor presents smoky, roast malt, zesty orange, bitter piney hops, and a touch of semi-sweet chocolate for a distinctive black IPA. How can you resist such an homage to our Fearless Leader? But seriously, folks. Mouthfeel features firm body, lively fizz, and an orange finish that has roast malt and charred hops underpinnings. Ale to the Chief - because he makes me wanna drink. More.
