A blood red ale, bold and worthy of an offering to any deity, this flavorful double red ale will surely flow all night. Caramel sweetness from a no-holds-barred addition of red crystal malt, combined with intense dry-hopping give this beer a full-body, balanced with fragrant floral hop contributions. A robust beige head and velvety mouth feel give way to a hint of pine resin with a floral character that emanates in remarkable smoothness with soothing alcohol warmth and long bitter finish.

OK. Too much red and not enough IPA in this one. There's bitterness but little floral or citrus or pine, and this was a keg, so hopefully age didn't come into play. It was an ok RED, caramel and chocolate with a bittersweet finish, but not what I'd want if ordering an IPA.
