Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 6
The beer pours out a dark rootbeer brown color with a minimal soapy off-white head. Nearly zero head retention. Aroma is lightly vinous, some dirty penny, earthy, and a bit of light smokey toasted bread note. Flavor is light twangy malts, a bit earthy, a touch of raisins and toffee but all in all it’s very weak. Lightbodied and watery palate. The tongue feels like it’s been tenderized a bit after drinking (a touch numb). Easy to drink.

This altbier pours a dark brown color from a 500ml bottle. Small sized white foamy head. Aroma is grainy, malt, brown sugar and a touch of corn. A medium to light bodied Alt. Malts are roasty and toasty. Uninspiring beer, it’s a kind of mild and a little thin and a touch buttery tasting, but not in a bad way. The carbonation is also lacking. Mouthfeel is thin. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Not something I would normally get excited about, but this did hit the spot after a long day at work. And while I suspect that there are much better Alt(-ish) beers out there, this really isn't all that bad.
Oddly demented looking chicken on the front of an otherwise plain label, with not one but two neck labels. Pours nicely, with a solid white cap of foam present throughout the entire course of the beer, and tons of Belgian lace, too.
Not a whole lot in the way of aroma. But this is just malty & bitter enough to match the intended style, with a very clean presentation, to boot. Could be more distinctive in the overall mouthfeel, drinkability, and presentation, but definately one of the more appealling Alt-wannabes that I've had recently.

This brew pours with a beautiful deep amber body topped by a thick off-white head with a good amount of lacing. The aroma is slightly sweet and malty with notes of caramel, toffee and a nuts with a very slight grassy hoppiness. The flavor is slightly sweet and malty with nutty accents, buttery notes and a slightly hoppy bitterness. Medium bodied, smooth and slightly dry.
