Big, sticky, bitter, and candied orange and grapefruit sweetness, with healthy doses of pine resin. My favorite Auburn beer ever and one that go head to head with some of the biggest and best. Gotta downgrade (just a tenth) as the 9.4% bottles just ain't quite as mind-blowing as the fresh taps.

Tasted on tap at the 12th Bistro Double IPA Festival on 2/11/2011. This double/triple IPA pours a medium orange gold color from the tap. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity, sweet, orange and a touch of honey. A medium bodied Double/tripel IPA. The malts are fruity and sweet with a touch of honey. The hops are citrusy, piney and earthy. Decent carbonation. Good bitterness, constant throughout the taste. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.
