Brewed exclusively for "Le Marché Vaillancourt" it says on the front label (which is the only label on the bottle) and with 7% ABV. Pours a dark brown colour with red highlights and has a fast cascade effect. The head is pretty big, beige coloured, good retention and thick patchy lace. The nose is full with plums, dark malts, raisins, hints of nuts and notes of light coffee. Alcohol is well-hidden with a smooth mouthfeel. The taste includes coffee, mild dark fruits, slight chocolat and loads of roasted malt in the aftertaste. The burnt flavour continues for a while. Pretty decent strong porter that goes down easily.

Bottle: Poured a deep black color porter with a rather large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of lightly roasted malt with some sweet black chocolate. Taste was also dominated by some black chocolate with light roasted notes. Body is about average with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Overall I thought this was good but lacking character to be on my list of regular.
