Sampled on 1/21/2012. This Double India Pale Ale pours a medium yellow gold color from a 750ml cork and caged bottle. Medium to large sized white foamy head with nice retention and good lacing. The aroma is pineapple, citrus, fruity with a touch of barnyard and funk. Hints of Chardonnay. A medium bodied IPA. The malts are fruity and sweet. The hops are citrusy and grapefruity with some tropical as well. Decent carbonation. A touch of funk. Lots of stuff going on here. Intersting beer. Its a great IPA. Its got a whole lot of barrel stuff going on, oak and chardonnay, and its got all the brett stuff going on funk and dryness, yet its all integrated into a nice solid beer. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is dry, clean and crisp. Aftertastet is slightly bitter.

750ml bottle. Pours a hazy dark yellow with a big fluffy wihite head that retains well and laces the glass.
The aroma is a lot of brett and musty yeast with old fruits and bread. Some dirty sock comes out as it warms.
The flavor is a lot of brett with some old fruit and bready malt. There's a decent amount of bitterness in the finish. The mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with smooth carbonation.
Overall, I like it. The best Beligan IPA I've had. i like the use of Brett instead of traditional Belgian yeast. It also has good noticeable bitterness. Only downside is price at $17 a bottle. -

nice blend of funky brett and a s@@@load of hops. citra hops stand out, among others. belgian yeast, brett, and hops make this beer dry as a bone, but intensely flavorful and smooth all at the same time. just as i thought their beers might taste the same, this one stands out a bit.
