A pleasant roasted malty aroma hits the nose and follows up in the flavor with light chocolate, caramel, and coffee. If not for being overly thin in body, this would be a solid brown. Had to laugh at this ridiculously high score on RB, seemingly for no reason other than "it's local."... "The most local beer I've ever tasted, so I may have a bit of bias, but nonetheless I'm super proud of this local small brewery." How bout rating it on its merits? Ya know...taste and smell and that kind of thing?
