In American Rated X means that something is not allowed for kids, With Rated XX we’ve made a beer that’s SERIOUSLY not suited for kids. But on that note we have to admit, that we’re just kids ourselves. Nothing but geeky kids who love to play around with….hops. Most things have already been tried in the wondrous world of beer, but we seriously doubt that any other brewery has ever released a beer that contains: Zeus, Mittelfrüh, Brewers Gold, Crystal, Simcoe, Perle, Mt, Hood, Hersbrücker, Challenger, Fuggles, Liberty, Styrian Goldings, Columbus, Chinook, Amarillo, Bramling Cross, East Kent Goldings, Willamette, Palisade and Saaz hops in the same brew. Yep, you got it right, we’ve added no less than 20 (XX) different hops during our 120 minute boil. A new addition of hops every 3 minutes. To balance this hoppy hell we created a solid malt bill consisting of English Crystal and Maris Otter malts. Out of all this rises a fairly solid Imperial IPA that – not surprisingly – is rather hoppy. In your glass you’ll find a complex mist of hop aroma with the smooth peachy notes being the most prominent. Rated XX is the ultimate wet dream for all you hopheads out there. Try it now, ‘cause you’ll never get the chance again.

This one seems good for #1900! I was told this was from Papsoe. Props bro! This poured a murky brown color with very little head. The aroma contains some butterscotch, caramel, toffee on the frosted side, quite a bit of citrus on the unfrosted side. The flavor contains alot of stuff as well. Malt wise brown sugar, caramel, and toffee. On the hop side we get a ton of citrus like oranges, lemons, and grapefruit. A big ’ol beer right here. May have been a LITTLE overdone with 23 hops but a nice beer regardless.

Bottled (2008 version). HAzy opaque orange colour with small beige head. Aroma is very fruity and hoppy. Flavour is hoppy, grassy and has some slight notes of spices. A really nice and wellbalanced brew. 8 8 8 8 8
Bottled (2009 version)@Angleterre, Helsinki. Murky brown colour with mediumsized beige head. Lively bottle. Aroma is lots of various hops, some toffee and mild notes of caramel. Flavour is caramel malts, lots of hops, some slight notes of woodenness. Grassy and a bit yeasty aftertaste. 7 8 8 8 8 -

Pours out in a hazy orangey amber colour with a rich sticky white foam. Huge hop-aroma of grapefruity and resinous hops with touches of lychee, bloodgrape and cherry-skins with sweet undertones of peaches, caramel and guava. Almost full-bodied with a massive onslaught of resinous, floral and grapfruity hops with strong notes of grass, nectarines and blackberries. long grapefruit and grassy finish with touches of resin, peaches and mild caramel. At 200+ IBU’s, this is a hop-junkie’s fix...
