careful with this- 2nd bottle and they both exploded when opened. I managed to save most of this one, it was like a science project gone mad. Alive and kickin with yeast, very bubbly texture... Tastes of raisins, figs, and those root beer candies. Sweet and big spice flavor to balance, smoky cardomom, spicy ginger, brown sugar sticky buns. SPicy brown and lots of flavor.

Sampled on 3/30/2009. This Belgian Strong Ale pours a deep reddish brown color form a 33cl bottle. Small to medium sized tan foamy head with decent lacing and very short head retention. The aroma is sweet and spicy, some ginger. A medium bodied Belgian Strong Ale. The malts are dark fruit, caramel and sweet. There is a sour/tart lactic quality that I am not sure should be here, but I kind of like it. The spices are in the background, mostly ginger and coriander. Lively carbonation. Interesting beer. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly tart.

A dark brown appearance with a beige head. This smells like a Halls cough drop. Well a chocolate covered Halls. The flavor is rather sour with some mint, ginger, chocolate, and nutmeg. The palate was quite watery. Not sure what the goal was here, if it was to make a crazy ass beer that kind of sucks they accomplished that!

Very dark brown opaque colour. The head is something of the most alive head I have ever seen. Aroma is salted licorace, yeast, spices, and some malts. Flavour is alcohol, spices, earth, grass and some caramel. Also slight hints of salted licorace.
