Brown ales have long been popular in the industrial North East of England where they are strong, malty and satisfying. It’s American counterpart takes this style and amps it up with bundles of resinous hops. Expect piney aromas and tropical fruit flavours layered over a toasty biscuit malt base.

Shared 500 ml bottle at local tasting. ABV is 6%. Brown colour, off-white head. Nice malty aroma, notes of caramel and roast nuts. Malty flavour, moderately sweet, medium roast malts and roast nuts, some caramel.
