Pale ale is a definite misnomer in the name of this beer. What's worse is that they describe it as a pale ale for adventure seeking craft beer drinkers. Grainy bready taste with almost no discernable hop presence. At best, marginally better than some macro lagers.

Sampled on 3/2/2012. This English Pale Ale pours a light amber color from a 12oz bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity, caramel, biscuit and sweet. A light to medium bodied English Pale Ale. The malts are mild, bready and biscuit. The hops are floral and earthy. Quickly vanishing carbonation. Kind of watery and mild. I keep thinking diet coke and soda, not that it’s a bad thing, its just not very good either. And it’s a more soda tah diet coke. Can I use the word Meh? Fits this beer perfectly. Beer Rating number 5000 or my personal list and by tradition I try and find a horrid beer for the milestone, I am traveling and this was the worst beer I had access to. I did not feel like running down to the local liquors store and grabbing something really bad. Mouthfeel is thin. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

0 for 2 on my introduction to Alexander Keith's. I guess you get what you pay for with these guys. Leave this stuff in Canada, please. The price is right, the beer is not horrible, but just not that good. Thinkin' I'd rather go with something in the Michelob family when going for the lower end of economy-beer. Not sure if I would call this a "blond-ale" and advertised as a Pale Ale. Mostly water, seems like some corn, with very little hops. Aroma is kind of skunky too, but the bottle may be slightly old. I could still tell though that this is something I will pass on in the future.

A bright golden colored beer. A medium frothy textured, white head rises briefly above. Not much hang time. but it settles into a moderate soapy ringlet and light dusting of film. A subtle bready malt nose. A more pronounced sweet bready malt in the tasting. Very little hops. A light bodied beer that would make a pretty good session beer.
