Sampled at the Bistro 7th Annual Barrel Aged Festival on 11/10/2012. This brown ale pours a medium orange gold color from the tap. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity and sweet, with some wood and a touch of red wine. A medium bodied brown ale. The malts are fruity and sweet. The hops are citrusy and herbal. Decent carbonation. Complex flavors, there is a whole lot ‘evolving’ here, some wood, some red wine (zinfandel) and a touch of tartness. Interesting… Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.
