Hopothermia is a full-flavored representation of the Double IPA style with a robust malt body resting in easy harmony, like a massive grizzly bear in winter, with the big and drinkable American hop character. Nugget and Apollo hops added in the brew kettle provide a green, floral aroma and citrus hop base, while the later addition of Amarillo, Citra, and Centennial hops add notes of spicy grapefruit and orange - complimenting the resilient malt profile.

Pours a medium coppery amber with a big three finger cream colored head with good retention and lots of lacing. Aroma of tropical fruit, particularly pineapple, melons, citrus and piney hops. Flavor is bready malt, thick tropical and orange family citrus juice, citrus and pine hops. Well balanced. Heavy bodied with an excellent creaminess. A pleasant, IIPA that leaves a nice lingering piney and citrus hop afterglow.

12 oz bottle. Pours clear reddish gold with a huge pillowy off white head that retains well and laces the glass.
The aroma is bready, biscuity malts with piney hops.
The flavor is sweet bready, biscuity malts and some tropical fruit with lots of piney, resiny, minty hops. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with smooth carbonation.
Overall, a nice DIPA. I like the hops but not the malt profile - it's too sweet, bready and biscuity.
