Bourbon Street Maple Pecan is a nut brown ale that is aged in Bourbon barrels. Our Maple Pecan is brewed with a combination of pale, munich, biscuit, and caramel malts. Roasted pecans are also added to the brew for a nutty flavor and aroma. We add maple syrup in the brewhouse as well to give the beer a sweet flavor and full body. After fermentation and aging the beer is transferred into the bourbon barrels. It is then aged for another 8 weeks to absorb all of the flavors from the barrels. The result is brown ale that blends the light flavors of nuts, maple syrup, and baking bread from the beer with the warming flavors of wood and vanilla from the bourbon barrels.

Pours clear mahogany with a thick buff head. Aroma delivers bourbon, maple syrup, woody, toasted malt, and subtle vanilla and nutty notes. Flavor presents bourbon, maple, vanilla, toasted malt, woody and shy nutty character, an enjoyable ale that is to be sipped and savored. Mouthfeel offers fairly firm and smooth body with jazzy fizz and a woody maple finish. Makes you want to visit New Orleans - better hurry, because what with global warming, Bourbon Street will be underwater in a few decades, and the Saints and Pelicans will have to relocate.

Bottle. Hazy copper with a medium, dense tan head. Aroma is maple and vanilla with soft pecan notes and brown sugar. Taste is big maple and vanilla, light caramel, pecan, toasted nuts, sweet malt and light coconut. Body is medium with a touch of warmth on the back end and a moderate bubbly carbonation overall. Ends with more maple, vanilla, caramel, pecan, toasted malt, sweet malt, light coconut and toasted nuts.
