We welcome the new year, along with our first series of distributed ales with the 001. This beer is a hop-lover’s dream. it starts with magnum, centennial, and simcoe in the 120 minute boil, simcoe, centennial and citra for the flavor and aroma hops, and is then dry-hopped two times with simcoe, centennial, citra, columbus, and australian galaxy. The finished hop profile is a mix of juicy, floral, citrus, peachy stone fruit, pine forest, and resin!

Tasted on tap at the 13th Bistro Double IPA Festival on 2/9/2013. This double IPA pours a medium orange gold color from the tap. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity and sweet, citrusy, piney and orange. A medium bodied double India Pale Ale. The malts are fruity and sweet. The hops are citrusy and floral, with some resin and orange. Nicely balanced. Medium to high bitterness, which kind of lingers on the aftertaste. Lots of citrus and orange peel. A touch malt forward but definitely an IPA. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.
