Our 2nd Anniversary release is an Double IPA heavily hopped with over 4 lbs/bbl of Simcoe, Magnum, Nugget and Ahtanum. This is a big, malty ale with delicate hop and rich malt aroma, complex hop flavor and sustained smooth hop bitterness. Hops are added from beginning to end during the brewing process and, like most (512) ales, this one is made using over 80% USDA certified organic ingredients. Not to be missed.

Sampled at GABF on 9/18/2010. This Imperial India Pale Ale pours a light gold color from the tap. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity and sweet, citrusy hops. A medium bodied Imperial India Pale Ale. The malts are fruity and sweet. The hops are citrusy and grapefruity. Lively carbonation. Nice balance. Finishes with some nice lingering hop bitterness. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Tried this one last night at the Flying Saucer in Austin, aromas and flavors of citrus and caramel malts. Chewy mouthfeel with a clean finish, I had this one after the Modus Hoperandi so i was spoiled. Although it was a nice beer, in my opinion it lacks the hop presence of a IIPA. I would like to try it again and re-rate.

2 good years from this kickass brewery! .. Pours a caramel gold, foam and lacing are everywhere .. good dose of citrus, sap, resin with a fair amount of malt; caramel and such .. worthy of an anniversary brew and another classy brew outta Austin .. . In Mexico, you know what they call Twinkies? "Los submarinos."
