This is our Christmas and Holiday beer! A deep red/brown Abbey Ale often called the Burgundy of Belgium. Its a rich but crisp Trappist style dark ale with a flavor like no other beer. It is brewed with a special Belgian yeast that imparts fruity and almost wine-like flavors and aromas due to aromatic esters and complex alcohols that are the byproducts of fermentation. Very aromatic and slightly malty with some residual sweetness and tartness and a low hop bitterness/aroma. This is a warming high gravity beer made to be sipped and enjoyed in the colder months

Had this over the Christmas holidays while on a trip to Georgia to see the Thrashers. Thank God there are no hockey fans in Atlanta as I was able to get a good ticket on game night. Anyway, a bartender at a local joint recommended this. Hazy reddish-gold, tan head, and a lot of sweet malt and spices. Cinnamon is evident. The taste is smooth and spicy. There is also hints of maple sugar, not quite Quebec calibre...possibly just Vermont. A very enjoyable beer.

A beautiful, cloudy, reddish-brown with a nice thick tan head. Aroma is strong, malty and hoppy, with a good alcohol edge and fruit hints. Flavor is exceptionally smooth, more like a fine bourbon than a beer, with hints of fruit and butterscotch. It has a nice alcohol edge to it so you know that it is a high-gravity beer. This is one to be sipped and savored.

Dark, cloudy, wood brown with ruby and gold highlights with a large cream-colored head that slowly faded to a ring and weather pattern. Brown sugar, spice cake and dried fruit aroma. The flavor is more brown sugar and spice with a dried fruit somewhere between prunes and apricots and a bit of cherry. The taste is full, soft and rounded. Very well brewed.

Nice amber/brown color with decent sized head that didn’t stay for long when poured from the tap at the brewpub into a Delirium glass. Sweet, malty taste that tastes like it’s namesake, with a slight twist. The twish being just a bit hoppier. Tastes of dates, raisens and swet candy. A world class beer.

Wow! This quickly changed my impression of 5 Seasons! Hazy brown color with a thick head. Flavor was rich and malty with some Christmas spice, plums, raisins, and cherries. This was prefectly balanced. I'm glad I had the opportunity to sample this beer.
