What’s a craft brewery to do when all the “typical” IPA hops are gone? Innovate of course, just like craft breweries always have. Hoptimization uses big, bold, bitter hops to get a clean citrusy flavor you’ll love and the bitter bite that you crave. Step away from typical and try something new. A big American IPA with citrusy aroma and serious bite. Tasting notes: Aggressively Bitter, Citrusy, Earthy Pairings: Accentuates spicy food, grilled red meats and fried chicken

I picked up a bottle of this from The Wine Gourmet in Roanoke, VA. This beer was just "meh" for me. It seemed a tad thin - more like a pale ale than an IPA. I want to try a larger sample and re-score. UPDATE: I had a full glass of this on tap. Slightly biased towards malt than hops. Had caramel notes lingering around. Had at Mac & Bob's on tap.
