In the early 1920s, adventurous brewers trekked through the bracing cold of the Himalayas, their rucksacks jammed full of Simcoe hops and coriander seeds. Under the prayer flags of a monestary, they brewed a beer that was simply divine. This is that beer. With a bouquet of pine, pineapple, and lemony citrus, this White IPA hauls your senses up a sinuous path to the peak of flavour.

The beer pours a hazed golden yellow with a frothy white cap and an abundance of floaties. The frothy white cap lasts a while and laces beautifully. Aroma is wheat, citrus, light spices, and yeast. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is bitter citrus peel, some fruit notes, yeast, and weak spices. One gets the “IPA” more than the “White” in this one. -

Pours a clean golden colour, but unfiltered with transparent flakes running through it. The head is huge, white, creamy, very long lasting and leaving thick creamy lacing. Big orange peel hop aromas at first with some of the Belgian Ale yeast that comes out eventually and hints of spices. The taste is fairly bitter and dry with hops kicking in right away, but not lasting too strong, too long. Just a nice dry finish that lingers with spicy hints. Getting a little hazy as the pours goes. The Witbier aspect is milder in this one, but the IPA side comes out well. A very nice looking brew that gets to the point with its dryness.
