Can from LCBO. Pours a fairly big frothy tan head and has a dark amber coppery appearance. Thick dirty lacing. Moderate carbonation. Aromas of light roasted malts, yeast, hints of caramel. Flavours are sweet, roasted malt, notes of earthy hops, some brown sugar hints. Subtle notes of yeast and toasty malt. Medium body. Good retention. Has a slick and slightly oily mouthfeel.

The beer pours a translucent mahogany colour with a light brown creamy cap which lingers. The aroma is yeast, sweet candy sugar, brown sugar, and roasted malt. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with above average carbonation. The flavour is a miss for me as it falls kind of flat. The dark fruit and yeasty flavours are there that are typical of dark Belgian Strong ales, but they’re weak, almost in a watered down sense. Looks good, smells good, tastes weak.
