The inspiration for this feature brew came from the naturally rich and bittersweet aromas of chocolate malt. We brewed a dark lager using this malt, then enhanced it by adding natural chocolate flavour. The harmonious result is a unique lager that is distinctly dark chocolate. Colour: Ruby Brown with a rich, caramel coloured foam. Tasting Notes: A thick chocolate aroma leads into a medium bodied and slightly sweet lager. This brew finishes with the mild bitterness that is characteristic of dark chocolate.

Part of their Selection of the moment tester 6-pack. Was not expecting much, but this reminds me so much of the Granville Lion beer. Dark clean amber with a beige frothy head, good retention and lacing. Cocoa smell with some vanilla. Well-blended cocoa as well in the taste giving a chocolate malt finish. Quite surprise with this one. Very nice seasonal winter brew.
