1 | Rochefort Trappistes 6 | Belgium | Abbey Dubbel | 4.6
Aroma: 9 | Appearance: 9 | Mouthfeel: 9 | Flavor: 10 | Overall: 9 Finally had the opportunity to try the two Rocheforts that I had missed previously and I have to be honest, I didn't see a whole lot of difference between the three of them. Lots of bread and dark fruits mixed with yeast. They don't try to hard to deviate from the formula. Maybe the thinnest of the three, but still an excellent beer. |

2 | Bold Monk Disciplione Dubbel | United States | Abbey Dubbel | 3.2
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 The pour is on the lighter side for a dubbel as it is an almost clear amber color. The head is a light tan color, very frothy, and leaves some good lacing. The aroma is roasted malt, caramel, yeast, and some maple syrup notes. The taste is a tad on the sweeter side as well. Lots of bready malt and sugar notes. Finish is somewhat bitter, but not in a Belgian bitter way. |

5 | St. Bernardus Abt 12 | Belgium | Abbey Quadrupel | 4.7
Aroma: 9 | Appearance: 9 | Mouthfeel: 9 | Flavor: 10 | Overall: 10 I felt that there was too much alcohol in this beer. It's dark brown and the head is huge and fluffy, and thick. The aroma is wet bread, malty, and a little spicy. The beer moves nicely over the tongue. I was worried because as a dark beer it is very stout like, but this was magnificent. |

7 | Westvleteren Abt 12 | Belgium | Abbey Quadrupel | 4.7
Aroma: 10 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 10 | Flavor: 10 | Overall: 9 This is BeerPal rating #100. This is an excellent beer and certainly lived up to it's hype. The price was a bit out of this world ($35) which put a damper on it but aside from that nothing to complain about. A dark golden brown pour, reddish hints, and a generous light tan head. Yeast, and sweet fruits filled the air. Flavour was nicely balanced between the sweet malt tones, the yeasty breadiness, and while the alcohol was noticed, it was noticed in a good way. Very smooth! |

Aroma: 9 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 One of the problems with the craft beer revolution is that beer is becoming hard liquor instead of beer, and it is killing beer for me. I heard a lot of good things about this beer but I want a beer, not bourbon, and there is too much of a bourbon character in this. |

Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 7 This beer finished 5th at a recent APA tasting held by a friend who's an BJPC member. A nice amber pour with a white cap, and a very piney aroma backed by citrus were the positive points for me. The thin body and thin flavour were negatives....although not all my friends felt it was as this as I did. |

15 | Half Acre Daisy Cutter Pale Ale | United States | American Pale Ale | 4.2
Aroma: 9 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 9 | Overall: 9 The 4th place finisher in a recent APA testing held by a friend who's an BJCP member. This beer had enough of it all.........a nice copper colour with a good white cap, a hoppy aroma with a decent malt backbone, decent body, and well-balanced flavour with a solid bitter finish. My second favourite of the night. |

Aroma: 9 | Appearance: 9 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 9 | Overall: 9 This was the 3rd place finisher in a recent APA testing held by a friend who is a BJCP member. This was my favourite beer of the night, although the version I had was 7% and from a growler. The flavour was amazing, nicely balanced between the citrusy hops and the malt. A beautiful amber pour, and good body. A great beer. |

18 | Three Floyds Alpha King Pale Ale | United States | American Pale Ale | 3.4
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 The recent 2nd place finisher in an APA tasting I attended at a friend's house who's a BJCP member. I was not a fan of this beer. Great colour, great body, but the aroma and flavour were all over the place, not a pleasant mix. A hoppier aroma and flavour would have been nice! Bottle was only 3 weeks old so age should not have been an issue. |

Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 This was the winner in a recent APA tasting held by a friend who's a BJCP member. It was middle of the road for me. It had a little bit of everything....good colour, decent citrusy aroma, decent body, and nice flavour.........but nothing that to me stood out and said 'wow'! |

Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 9 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8 A dark reddish-brown pour, quite hazy, and a huge beige cap on top to cap it all off. Aroma is rich with elements of roasted malt, coffee, dark chocolate, and vanilla. Flavor is rich as well, and a the sweetness gives the beer a filling feel. Lots of chocolate and anise in the flavour, and the finish is quite bitter...quite bitter! |

Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 9 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 9 | Overall: 9 The bottle was cute. It's also a nice colour blue on the label. Too bad the beer wasn't blue. That would be cool. The beer is a dark brown. The aroma is malty with nutty hints. It is sharp on the tongue. The taste is malt and slightly bitter. It's a very good beer. |
