2376 | Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout | United States | Imperial Stout | 3.7
Aroma: 9 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 8 Great appearance, solid black with a large tan head. Aroma is chocolate and alcohol. Flavor is alcohol, chocolate, charcoal, and smoke. Overall this a pretty good beer but way too much alcohol especially considering the ABV. Overated beer. |

2379 | Dogfish Head Chicory Stout | United States | Stout | 4.1
Aroma: 9 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8 Pours pitch black with a monster light tan head. Flavor is roasted malt and high quality coffee. Very well balanced not bending itself too bitter or sweet. Dark fruits and roasted malts abound. It also has a very carbonated mouthfeel. This is one fine stout. |

2382 | Neuzeller Kloster-Brau Original Badebier (Bathbeer) | Germany | Schwarzbier | 3.8
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8 Aroma is chocolate, caramel and blackberries. Appearance is dark with a minimal head. Flavor is chocolate, dark fruit, and licorice. Aftertaste is sweet with a hint of sourness on your tounge. This is a nice one and possibly the longest beer name I've had the pleasure to rate. |

2384 | Wychwood Goliath | United Kingdom | Bitter | 3.3
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 Smells like iced tea? And I dont mean the rapper of course, apples and caramel. Brownish/orange appearance with almost no head. A slightly bitter one dimensional flavor with some caramel and fruit. Not too bad just nothing impressive either. |

2387 | Three Floyds Dreadnaught Imperial IPA | United States | Imperial IPA | 4.3
Aroma: 9 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 9 | Overall: 9 Finally I get the 3 floyds! And it did not disappoint. Aroma is floral, sharp citrus, pine, wood, and of course fresh hops. Appearance is orange with a silky head and good lacing. The flavor is amazing. A nice hop punch but not as much as I expected. Lemons, oranges, and vanilla exist in the flavor. The citrus flavor and hops blend prefectly together. It has a very smooth and creamy mouthfeel to curb the sharp citrus and hop bite. I thought this would knock Stone IPA off my top spot for sure but thus far this is my second favorite IPA. Excellent beer! Rerate: The 2005 edition does not seem to be as good. It has lost some of the malt profile and its more like hop juice at this point. Its still good not great. |

2388 | Bert Grants India Pale Ale | United States | IPA | 2.7
Aroma: 4 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 What the hell? This beer stood even less of a chance after enjoying a 3 Floyds Dreadnaught IPA. It's like a one legged man in an ass kicking contest. NO CHANCE! Dark golden appearance with mininal head. Aroma is pretty tame hops and lemon. Flavor is slightly hoppy without anything to back it up. It tastes like someone dumped a bunch of hops in an Amstel Light. And I want to meet the absolute idiot who proclaimed this as "the only properly hopped beer in America" as shown in the commerical description. I'm reminded of that old Looney Tunes cartoon with the big bulldog "Spike" who was always followed around by that little yapping dog that said stuff like "You are so strong Spike, I want to be like you Spike!" And Spike would always smack him and say "Ah shut up!" Well this beer is the little yapping dog and the Dreadnaught is the bulldog bitch smacking this beer. Sorry for that strange story. Overall pretty crappy. |

2389 | Rogue American Amber | United States | Amber Ale | 3.3
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 A reddish brown appearance with a nice looking head and lacing. Aroma is malty with some hops coming through. Flavor is a little thin at least compared to other Rogue beers. Some hop bitterness followed with a bit of a smokey tobacco and sour grape flavor. A nice sipping beer but Rogue offers many better. Good one though |

2390 | Dogwood Winter Ale 2003 (Special Edition) | United States | Spiced Beer | 2.5
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 3 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 5 Smells of strong ginger and cinnamon. Appearance is a nice dark brown. Flavor is SPICE! Overload going on here. Cinnamon, ginger, and cloves is all I can taste. I enjoy a nice spiced winter beer but this is too much. It's darn close to a drain pour. I still appreciate biermonk giving me this beer and he did warn me of the excess spice. Bottom line don't seek this out, just get the regular Dogwood 2003-2004 winter ale its a very good beer. |

2392 | Thyssens Amsterdams Blond | Netherlands | Belgian Ale | 3.2
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 6 Apperance is a deep amber and the bottle looks like a lighthouse I kid you not. Aroma is a bit musky with some malty notes. Flavor has a slight sour character with a vanilla and sour fruit flavor. In that strange Orval kind of way I enjoyed this beer! |

2393 | Fuller's India Pale Ale | United Kingdom | IPA | 2.9
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 6 An almost non existent aroma. Appearance is amber with a large head. Flavor is spicy? with some faint hops. A very soapy flavor. I can appreciate the English IPA's with less hops but this is not a good example. Can this really be made by the same folks who make London Porter and 1845? Hard to believe. Below average IPA. |

2395 | Rochefort Trappistes 8 | Belgium | Belgian Strong Ale | 3.9
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 9 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 8 Aroma is fantastic full of grapes, dates, spices, and nuts. Flavor is very smooth with a hint of bitterness. A nice woody and dark fruit flavor. It hides the alcohol amazingly well. This is certainly the short cousin of Rocherfort 10. Overall this a nice belgian but a little light bodied and not in the league of Rochefort 10. |

2396 | Corsendonk Christmas Ale | Belgium | Belgian Strong Ale | 4.3
Aroma: 9 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 9 | Overall: 9 Aroma is cherries, oranges, raisins, and alcohol. Appearance is a very nice brownish red color. Flavor is very chocolately. Some wintergreen mint and spiced plums. A sort of grainy and very sweet aftertaste. An Andes Mint in a liquid form. A tad too sweet but its one fine cold weather beer. Groovy! |

2397 | Bert Grants Lazy Days Pale Ale | United States | American Pale Ale | 3.3
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 7 A fairly weak citrus aroma. A nice amber appearance with a good lasting head. Flavor is very subtle with just a touch of hops and citrus. A very mild version of an American Pale Ale but enough flavor to make it pass. Overall its alright despite these lazy hops. |

2400 | Anheuser World Select | United States | Lager | 2.8
Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 6 Not nearly as bad as I imagined. AB cant seem to get the aroma to improve, it still smells like a Bud. Appearance is a dark golden color. Flavor has some malt character vs the usual rice character. Some bitterness in the flavor as well. Im not going to knock it just because it's made by AB. A pretty good lager and better than many Ive had. Easy to knock but as good as many European lagers just not worth the cost. |
