"Farmhouse" aroma with some vinous and woody notes. The flavour is medium sweet and malty with notes of ripe berries and dark dried fruits, also oaky notes, distinct hops in the finish. Very good.

Vinous aroma, notes of dark dried fruits and oak, also some initial notes of dust. Sweet and vinous flavour, notes of old port, dark dried fruits and oak, hints of chocolate and smoke, decent hops in the finish. Very good.

The flavour is not quite as sweet as the aroma made me fear, but has still notes of banana candy. Minimal hops. Weird, but not undrinkable.

Refreshing and pleasant flavour, hints of toffee, nuts and berries, nicely balanced between the malts and hops. Nothing exceptional, but drinks well.

Just a hint of coffee (not sure if I’d have noticed if I didn’t know it should be there). The flavour is also predominantly hoppy (but not extreme for an IPA), while the coffee comes through in the finish. However, the conservative part of me still thinks that coffee is somehow misplaced in a golden ale or IPA - but at the same time I have to admit that this is a tasty and likeable beer ...

Lovely aroma of American hops, notes of citrus and tropical fruits, hints of pine forest. The hoppy flavour has notes of pine and grapefruit, and is fairly dry. Bitter aftertaste. Quite good.

250 ml bottle, as Amager Hr. Papsø Quadruple Aged on Bourbon Barrels, from Ølbutikken, Copenhagen. Batch #97, ABV is 12%. Cloudy dark brown colour, moderate to low beige head. Intense sweetish aroma of malt sugar, molasses, bourbon, vanilla and oak. The flavour is medium sweet, not as intensely sweet as I feared. Notes of oak, molasses, bourbon and vanilla again. Moderate hops. A decent dessert beer - well rounded, like Mr. Papsø himself .

Very nice roasty aroma, notes of dark chocolate, mild coffee and tar, a hint of liquorice. The flavour is moderately roasty and fairly dry, with strong notes of dark chocolate and coffee. Just a slight fruity acidity. The finish has a solid hoppy and roasty bitterness. Slightly salty aftertaste. Very good.

The flavour is medium sweet, with distinct hops throughout, notes of grapefruit and pine, very sharp and bitter finish, some dust and metal in the aftertaste.

Very nice sweetish and fruity aroma, notes of American hops and pale crystal malts, hints of fresh orange marmalade. The flavour has a nice hoppiness throughout, but is unfortunately a bit too sweet for my taste. Bitter finish. Well worth sampling.

Fairly nice aroma of caramel and fruity hops, hints of old orange marmalade. The medium sweet flavour has also notes of caramel and a little fruit, but lacks hops and "freshness". Drinkable, but I expected more from Lagunitas.

500 ml bottle, from SuperBest Hjørring. ABV is 5.0%. Brown colour, slightly hazy, huge beige head. The aroma has strong notes of brown bread and lightly toasted malts, hints of caramel. The flavour is fairly malty and medium sweet, notes of caramel, also brown bread baked with a dash of dark syrup. A fairly decent dunkel.

500 ml bottle, as Nibe Styrbord Dark Ale, from SuperBest Hjørring. ABV is 5.5%. Black colour, large to moderate tan head. Moderately roasty aroma, notes of chocolate / cocoa and mild coffee, hints of smoke and a touch of fruity hops. The flavour is also moderately roasty, notes of dark chocolate but not too sweet, also notes of mild coffee, hints of liquorice and smoke, some fruity and resinous hops throughout, roasty and hoppy bitterness in the aftertaste. Quite enjoyable.

The flavour is moderately roasty, some coffee notes, only a little residual sweetness, a hint of liquorice. The hops are very moderate. Nice enough to drink, but no masterpiece.

The flavour is malty, fruity and very sweet, with loads of caramel, and the moderate hops are only noticeable in the aftertaste. Too sweet, possibly slightly infected, and not really something I’d buy again.

500 ml bottle, from SuperBest Hjørring. ABV is 5.6%. Deep golden colour, moderate white head. Moderate but nice aroma of fruity hops, hints of orange marmalade, also notes of caramel and toffee. The flavour is medium sweet, notes of caramel and bitter orange marmalade again, plenty of fruity and piney hops, ending in a solid bitterness which is surprisingly sharp and distinct for a Welsh ale.

The aroma has some roasty notes with hints of coffee, also distinct notes of smoke and old rope, hints of vanilla. Rich mouthfeel. Lovely flavour, medium sweet, roasted malts, coffee, molasses and dark chocolate, hints of liquorice, oak and vanilla, just a touch of smoke. Excellent stuff.

Malty aroma, some woody and caramel notes, also roasty notes with hints of cold coffee, also hints of smoke and chocolate. Rich malty flavour, fairly sweet with notes of caramel and chocolate, also mild roasty notes in the finish, just a touch of smoke, very moderate hops. Pleasant to drink.
