3601 | Boulevard Single-Wide I.P.A. | United States | IPA | 4.1
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 9 | Overall: 8 Shared 355 ml bottle, from the Norwegian importer. No ABV mentioned on the label. Hazy golden colour, moderate white head. Pleasant aroma of American hops, notes of spruce, citrus and tropical fruits. The flavour is distinctly hoppy throughout, with the same elements as the aroma, but is never too bitter. Just enough malts to make the beer feel tolerably balanced. Very likeable. |

3605 | Emelisse Triple IPA | Netherlands | Imperial IPA | 3.8
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 7 330 ml bottle, as Emelisse TIPA, kindly shared by abemorsten. Hazy dark orange-brown colour, moderate off-white to beige head. Strong and "typically American" DIPA/TIPA aroma of orange marmalade, apricots and loads of fruity and piney hops. The flavour has first a smooth malty and fruity sweetness, then the hops really set in, and last through the bitter finish and long aftertaste. Powerful stuff, but not too extreme after all. |

3606 | Founders Curmudgeon Old Ale | United States | Old Ale | 4.1
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 9 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 9 | Overall: 8 355 ml bottle, from Voldby Købmandsgaard. ABV is 9.8%. 50 IBU. Cloudy brown colour, low beige head of poor retention. Sweetish malty aroma, notes of caramel and oak, hints of dark dried fruits and alcohol. Not as sweet flavour as I feared, malty and oaky, caramel and dried figs, well balanced with the hops, a nice bitterness in the finish and aftertaste. Would buy again. |

3617 | Kinn Svartekunst | Norway | Imperial Stout | 4.1
Aroma: 10 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8 On tap at HaandBryggeriet Beer Festival, Drammen. Served too cold. Pitch black colour, creamy beige head. Modest aroma, mild roasty notes, coffee, dark chocolate and dust, hints of oak. Will probably improve as the beer warms up. 3618 | Närke Kulturbryggeri Bäver | Sweden | Spiced Beer | 1.9
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 3 | Mouthfeel: 3 | Flavor: 3 | Overall: 3 On tap from a urinal(!) at HaandBryggeriet Beer Festival, Drammen. Sweet Jesus - who is crazy enough to use the secretion from beaver anal glands (castoreum) in BEER??!! Apparently, the guys at Närke are! The beer has an amber colour, moderate off-white head. Weird and penetrating aroma of beaver (insert jokes here at your own will), reminds me of smelly oils and undefined chemical waste. Hints of leather too. Dry flavour with a rather disgusting dominance of castoreum. Some hops in the finish. Nope, this is not a beer for me. |

Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5 On tap at HaandBryggeriet Beer Festival, Drammen. Deep orange to red colour, low head. Strong aroma of peat smoke and juniper smoke. 3623 | Alvinne Morpheus Wild Undressed Monbazillac (Barrel Aged) | Belgium | Wild Ale | 3.2
Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 At HaandBryggeriet Beer Festival, Drammen. Very dark brown colour, cloudy. No head nor carbonation. The aroma has notes of red wine, red wine vinegar and oak. The flavour has the same elements as the aroma, distinct acidity but not extreme. Quite tasty, but to be honest I’d probably prefer this as a salad dressing rather than a drinking beer. |

3625 | Røros Johannes Konstknekt | Norway | Kölsch | 3.5
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 330 ml bottle, many thanks to Ole Richard. ABV is 4.7%. Cloudy golden colour, moderate white head. Fruity (citussy) and yeasty aroma, nearly wheatbeer-like. The flavour is also citrussy, yeasty and slightly spicy, in a blind test I might have guessed that it was a wheatbeer, not a Kölsch (well, the recipe also includes wheat). Very refreshing. I liked this one! |
