301 | Steam Whistle Lemon Shandy | Canada | Fruit Beer | 3.2
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 6 473ml can
2.5% ABV
Canned On: June 1, 2021
LCBO Outlet #649 (Milton, Ontario, Canada - Sobey's Plaza)
August 20, 2021
$3.15
The beer pours a translucent light to medium gold colour with a generous white fluffy head which dissipates within 2-3 minutes. The aroma is grains, cereal malts, light lemon zest, and spicy hops. The mouthfeel is light bodied, slightly puckering, with average carbonation. The flavour is dominated by the lemon flavour. It’s actually quite good as a light refreshing drink. Not very beer like, but still something one can reach for when they want a beer. |

302 | Ace Hill Island Lager / Ace Hill Island Pineapple Lager | Canada | Pale Lager | 2.6
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 4 August 17, 2021
LCBO Outlet #649 (Milton, Ontario, Canada - Sobey's Plaza)
355ml can
5.50% ABV
Canned On: March 4, 2021
$2.95
The beer pours a hazy straw yellow colour with a generous creamy head that takes a while to recede, but leaves a lot of lacing. Once you open the can, the pineapple aroma is in your face. Once in the glass, aromas of cereal malts, light yeast, and musty hops join the party. The mouthfeel is ligt to medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour tends to the tart side of the spectrum, with some grains and a definite salty presence on the tongue. Finish is more salty than bitter |

303 | Molson Common Bond | Canada | Strong Lager | 2.8
Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5 473ml can
6.1% ABV
LCBO Outlet #649 (Milton, Ontario, Canada - Sobey's Plaza)
August 14, 2021
$2.90
The beer pours a translucent light copper colour with a creamy tan coloured head and plenty of effervesecnec. The aroma is caramel, rye, grass, and alcohol (is there a reason that the stronger a Molson product gets, the less likely you are to smell any hops?). The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The predominant flavours are caramel and whiskey. The alcohol is definitely noticeable. Interesting, and not as bad as I thought it would be. |

304 | Fixed Gear Brewing Breakaway IPA | Canada | IPA | 3.8
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 8 473ml can
5.5% ABV
Canned On: March 23, 2021
LCBO Outlet #649 (Milton, Ontario, Canada - Sobey's Plaza)
August 9, 2021
$3.65
The beer pours a slightly hazed metallic gold colour with a rocky off-white head which lasts a few minutes. Effervescence is very high and lacing is good. The aroma is cereal malts, caramel, pine, and citrus. So far it seems like an old school West Coast IPA. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is a nice mash up of caramel notes, piney flavours, and bitter citrus. Definitely worth trying again. |
