801 New Belgium Blue Paddle Pilsner United States Bohemian / Czech Pilsener 3.0

Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6

Watery and lightly hopped, tasted like a better Miller Lite. Given how good New Belgium's famous Fat Tire brew is, this was a disappointed. Faint floral aroma, light lacing, nothing to get excited about. Please give this some Saaz kick and it will rock, NB!

802 Boulevard Nutcracker Ale United States English Strong Ale 4.5

Aroma: 9 | Appearance: 9 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 10 | Overall: 9

Pretty dang good beer enjoyed by my whole family (Dad, especially). I witnessed nice lacing and a pleasant hop aroma which is very piney and rather citrusy. Its as Christmas-y as a beer can be without spicing and I would venture to say that the 2006 Release is far superior to SN Celebration.

803 Staropramen Lager Czech Republic Bohemian / Czech Pilsener 3.5

Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7

Good pilsner, not the best, but a nice change of pace. Good bite at the end and pleasant mouthfeel, could use more malt flavor. Definately worth picking up a sixer, I will be doing so again.

804 Schlafly Winter ESB United States Extra Special Bitter 4.5

Aroma: 9 | Appearance: 9 | Mouthfeel: 9 | Flavor: 9 | Overall: 9

Schafly's best? Doesn't matter, really, but it is a fantastic bitter ale. The rye adds a distinctive flavor and seems to come across in the aftertaste. Pours a orange amber color and laces the glass persistantly. Great on tap and in bottles. I wish it were made all year 'round. Get this if you can, and get it right now.

805 Molson Canadian Canada Pale Lager 1.8

Aroma: 3 | Appearance: 3 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 4

Different than macros made in the US, but not any better. Poor carbonation, color and an inoffensive, if undectable, flavor. Very easy to drink, but incredibly forgettable.

806 Blue Moon Harvest Moon Pumpkin Ale United States Spiced Beer 2.5

Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5

This beer had a good flavor, but like others have said, I'm not quite sure it was exactly pumpkin flavor. There was spice, which was nice, but a more prominent pumpkin element to the beer would have been welcome, although that may have made it heavy for an ale. Still enjoyable and a welcome change from the boring Bud Light in the bars. I may not come back to this beer, but it certainly got me interested in the style.

807 Anheuser World Select United States Lager 3.0

Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6

Average, still good because it is still beer, but just average. I refused to pay the rediculous price of $8+ for a six-pack and sampled it at the brewery in St. Louis. Even tasting the freshest of the fresh of this overpriced "masterbrew" I was less than impressed. World Select bridges the gap between AB products and those "regional specialty brewers" that are getting too large for their own good (Shiner, New Belgium, etc.). But why deal with the middle of the road, when the grass is greener in a browner, cheaper bottle?

808 Schlafly Oatmeal Stout United States Oatmeal Stout 4.4

Aroma: 10 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 9 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 9

Wonderful, creamy, rich, dark brown, malty and drinkable. This is a great domestic stout. The addition of oatmeal is a smooth and warming balance to the bitter hops. Fantastic with meatloaf, green beans and biscuits when the snow gets deep.

809 Schlafly Pilsner United States Bohemian / Czech Pilsener 4.2

Aroma: 9 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 9 | Overall: 8

Rerate: I found this beer for the first time again the other day. It has now taken over as my favorite domestic Pilsner. Those saaz kick ass. American Pilsner, a term that almost doesn't make sense, almost. I'm a sucker for fresh beer and I can get this very fresh, being just down the street from the Schlafly Tap Room. But on the whole, it is comparable to, not on the same level as, but comparable to Pilsner Urquell in every way, except that this is generally milder. Schlafly Pilsner is far superior Miller Lite, "True Pilsner" and a noble effort that has room for honing.

810 Busch Light United States Light / Lite Lager 1.4

Aroma: 3 | Appearance: 2 | Mouthfeel: 3 | Flavor: 3 | Overall: 3

On sale, this is a decent buy, but not my preferred way to spend my money, not by any means. Not a beer for presentation, nor to impress anyone, this beer belongs alongside PBR and its very close bro, "Natty". This brew lacks in every respect, however it is still worth buying on sale for a night of flippy cup or P & A.

811 Coors Light United States Light / Lite Lager 1.4

Aroma: 3 | Appearance: 3 | Mouthfeel: 3 | Flavor: 2 | Overall: 3

Miracles do happen! This was the first beer I ever drank, and somehow, I still thoroughly enjoy beer. This however was a rough, rough experience which I have only repeated when I was not the one filling the cooler. I distinctly remember the taste of overripe (rotten) bananas and for once, overcarbonation. Skunky and unpleasant, don't waste your time, if you want macro go with anything else.

812 Guinness Stout Ireland Dry Stout 3.7

Aroma: 9 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7

While not my favorite stout, after sampling this in a pub in London, I can understand the obsession. This was delicious with all the characteristics that have made Guinness so well known, the deep color, persistent head with unparalled lacing. Yet while creamy and filling, there are more rewarding brews out there (of which you can drink more than two), especially in England, or even Ireland for that matter. Still, when fresh, definately worth the effort (as long as its not in a poorly travelled can).

813 Guinness Draught (Can) Ireland Dry Stout 1.9

Aroma: 4 | Appearance: 3 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 4

Prepare to be offened, Guinness lovers, as I was disappointed by all eight cans I had. Given the reviews I've read, this must have been a very old/poorly stored batch. The beer was grainy in texture and tasted like charcoal. I have also had this on tap (in London) and it was smooth, creamy, filling and delightful, however, this beer must travel very, very poorly. Sorry, Guinness fanatics.

814 Boulevard Wheat Beer United States American Wheat 4.5

Aroma: 9 | Appearance: 9 | Mouthfeel: 9 | Flavor: 9 | Overall: 9

All hail the champion of our cause! If you want to expose your friends to craft beer, this is the one way to do it. This is light, but complex, a beautifully balanced, colored and rewarding brew. Still one of my all-time favorites. A fresher, more complex and grassy/citrusy flavor than Schlafly, Sierra Nevada or Sunshine. Cloudy and golden this is refreshing and very, very drinkable. On tap or in a well-carbonated batch of bottles this is outstanding! Possibly eclipsed by the masterfully crafted Cow Town Wheat by 75th Street Brewery. No lemon!

815 Miller High Life Light United States Light / Lite Lager 1.4

Aroma: 3 | Appearance: 2 | Mouthfeel: 3 | Flavor: 3 | Overall: 3

Great price in St. Louis, that is to say, the best price. Good yard beer, but not my favorite. Hard for me to tell the difference between this and High Life. Out of a bottle this is still watery but rarely skunky and tolerable taste. This is my roommates favorite beer (crazy cheap). And he says it pretty well; that out of the bottle this tastes like "beer soda". A wannabe beer that sure isn't real beer, but is a drinkable pretender that I would take out my buddy's cooler while catching dinner on my old spin-caster, but never buy myself nor take to the dinner table.

816 Schlafly Dry Hopped APA United States American Pale Ale 4.4

Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 9 | Mouthfeel: 9 | Flavor: 9 | Overall: 9

Better than Fat Tire, which I do like. Seems like there is more Hop character and fruitier undertones, with even a better bite. Just better on every level. This may well be my favorite beer I've yet had, and is certainly the best offering by Schlafly, for those of us not enamored of Porters and Stouts (though the Oatmeal Stout is creamy and delicious, but that's another story). Somehow this is an improvement their wonderful pale ale. Find this beer, drink this beer, enjoy, then by lots more of this fine American Amber Ale. RERATE: On cask, it looks and smells even better. RE-RERATE: Now that they're dry-hopping the hell out of this, things have MUCH improved, a true delight!

817 Keystone Light United States Light / Lite Lager 1.0

Aroma: 2 | Appearance: 2 | Mouthfeel: 2 | Flavor: 2 | Overall: 2

The only redeeming quality of this is that its alcoholic. Its cheap, but still not worth it. I'd much rather have PBR or Stag for the same price. Watery, tasteless and hard to drink. Don't waste your time.

Not even worth the 5.29 I paid for 12 cans. I am even hesitatnt to cook brats in this crap. Tie for the worst beer I've had between this and Keystone Light.

819 Pilsner Urquell Czech Republic Bohemian / Czech Pilsener 4.4

Aroma: 9 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 9 | Flavor: 10 | Overall: 9

I had this on spring break in Prague, and I had it everywhere. It was everywhere, as if it were Bud Light in the Czech Republic, and that sure made me want to be Czech. Pours a fluffy, white head with lacing a good bite, great taste and a beautiful bright yellow color. Once again the taste did not come across as complex to me, but it was fantasic and fresh. My tastings stateside have been good, but not as wonderful as the glorius Czech experience that this beer can be. This is my favorite mass-produced beer.

820 Budweiser United States Pale Lager 1.7

Aroma: 3 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 3 | Overall: 3

Well its about average. This is better than Bud Light in every way, and better than Miller Lite and MGD. But for the price its totally not worth it, for a few cents more you can get a nice Boulevard or Schlafly brew most places around this town. It is still clear, watery and sometimes flat, but it is better the majority of mass produced swill (I think I'm required to write that in every macro review, right?). If its all you find at the bar/game/friend's house, just drink it, its no porter or IPA but it ain't that bad.

821 Natural Light United States Light / Lite Lager 1.1

Aroma: 2 | Appearance: 2 | Mouthfeel: 3 | Flavor: 2 | Overall: 2

I would say its a great cheap beer, but is not, that is PBR. This beer has two redeeming qualities, one of which does not apply. This is a cheap beer, but not in St. Louis. For some reason even though I can nearly see the brewery from my apartment, all AB products are rediculously expensive. For the price of "Natty" you can get MGD or something of somewhat better quality. Secondly, beechwood aging, thank the Lord for beechwood aging, this is all that keeps this watery "lager" from tasting the same going in as out (I assume). In summary, if this cheap beer is cheap where you live (the best I've seen $4.79 for 12 cans) and you are playing beer pong all weekend go for it.

822 Michelob Honey Lager United States Pale Lager 3.0

Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 6

Well, to start, for the price of this beer, just do yourself a favor and get whatever pale ale or wheat beer is next to it on the shelf (because you're probably not going to find this on tap). With a color better than any other AB product I've yet had and a genuinely flat pour, I still enjoy this brew. The addition of honey is good, well, it is honey and it can turn plain toast delicious. This is exactly the case here. Michelob is the Wonderbread of the brewing industry. And the results are good, but if you want a better honey brew, find a honey wheat, you'll pay the same price and be rewarded for your wisdom.

823 Pabst Blue Ribbon United States Pale Lager 2.4

Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 5

The cream of the crap! When it comes to yard-beer or cheap swill, as opposed to the overpriced Bud Light and Miller Light, this outshines even the juggernaut that is the High Life. It may pour pale, have little aroma and a simple flavor, but it does pour to a decent head (from our keg, anyway) and the simple flavor is a good one with a better bite than any other macro "brew". How it won a Blue Ribbon, I have no idea, but when playing washers, horseshoes, fishing or shooting of fireworks, I'll take my PBR with my Art's and Mary's jalepeno chips.

824 Schlafly Pale Ale United States English Pale Ale 3.4

Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7

One of my favorites, yes it is a bit inconsistent, but when they nail it, Schlafly really nails it. This is hoppy, yet balanced and I could drink every day (if I could afford it). Absolutely delicious, especially when on tap, it is a wonder to enjoy. RERATE: After having this many times, and many, many other beers I've come to the conclusion that this is a good training wheels beer, and still a solid session ale, but not as great as I'd remembered it.

825 Boulevard Bob's 47 Oktoberfest United States Marzen / Oktoberfest 4.4

Aroma: 9 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 9 | Flavor: 9 | Overall: 9

This is simply delicious and one of my favorite beers. I once spent four hours of my weekday afternoon driving around St. Louis looking for this seasonal offering (quit holding out on us and offer it year 'round!). The color a beautiful translucent dark amber/brown. Pours a quickly fading head with some lacing, but the real redeeming quality is the taste, full and rich while mild without a heavy or grainy mouthfeel. Fantastic!
