Take the recipe for Molson Canadian, and throw in some ale yeast instead of lager yeast, and up the temperature. The result is a beer that looks the same, smells pretty much the same, and tastes pretty much the same..........but for some reason, Export always seems crisper than Canadian.

The most expensive beer at the LCBO, anfd aside from the swill, probably the worst. I did not enjoy this at all. The beer poured a cloudy golden-orange with a huge frothy head. Lots of yeast and spice in the aroma, light fruit such as apricot and apple, and hops. Maybe a little too much going on. A coarse champagne palate with flavours of grain, hops, yeast, and citrus. Very dry.

Went to a Grand River tasting at a friend's house this past weekend and found a lot of very good beers, but nothing truly outstanding. A jet black beer with a creamy dark brown head. Lots of roasted coffee in the aroma, a little vanilla, and a little chocolate. Creamy to the tongue with ample bitterness from the coffee and dark chocolate notes.

A nice black pour with a 1/2" tan cap. Lots of roasted coffee and vanilla in the aroma. Flavour is way too sweet for me. Not to my liking. Next please.

This is my first Allagash brew, and I must say that I'm a little disappointed. It pours a hazy golden yellow topped off by a snow white cap. Lots of citrus and wheat in the aroma. The flavour is a bit on the sour side, something completely unexpected from a witbier.

An ezquisite Flemish sour by any definition of the style. A cool looking copper colour with a big-bubbled pinkish head. The aroma was tart cherries, some vinegar, and cereal malt. The taste is amazing, tart fruit up front (or sides I guess), followed by a lingering bitter finish.

If this was just an IPA, it would be a great beer, but it falls short on the 'Imperial' nature. A murky orange-gold pour with a thin creamy light tan head with a citrusy hop aroma, some spices, and some sweet malt. The flavour is a good bitter citrusy tone but not too strong. I could have used more bitterness for the 'Imperial' to be taken seriously

The best thing about this beer is the ornamental lamp-like growler. After you finish the beer you can put a candle in it. A golden beer, almost clear, and plenty of head. The aroma is citrusy hops, some malt, but definitely hoppy. The flavour is all hops, and not very well balanced.

I think this could be my favourite beer if it was available in Canada (or anywhere outside of Michigan). A nicely balanced Imperial IPA that has enough malt backbone to keep me happy, while still having all the hop-forwardness I want from an Imperial IPA. Excellent beer.

A powerful beer, but one of the thinnest watery stouts I have ever come across. It pours a motor oil black, but with a thinner consistency than say a DFH World Wide Stout. No head at all. Alcohol and roasted malt dominate the aroma, but one can also notice hints of vanilla, coffee, and molasses. The flavour is very sweet with more than a hint of alcohol. Not very balanced. Another epic failure by BrewDog
