375 ml corked (plastic cork, nearly impossible to open) green bottle, bought from Vinmonopolet (Nettbutikken) May/June 2012. Bottled on 06.12.11, bottle No. 5665 of 7902 ABV is 11.8%. Beautiful reddish brown colour, low off-white head. Strong oxidised aroma of malts, oak and fusel alcohols, hints of dried figs. Minimal carbonation in the mouth. The flavour is very oaky and oxidised, not very sweet, with moderate hops. Not worth the high price.

July 2018: 375 ml green bottle, from Vinmonopolet. Black colour, no head. Vinous aroma, oxidised, prunes, oak. Minimal carbonation. The flavour is very sweet and very oaky, notes of prunes and other dark dried fruits, notes of molasses and too much alcohol, some bittering hops.

August 2013: Sample from bottle at BrewDog tasting, Stavanger. Pitch black colour, low tan head. Very nice aroma, besides the expected roasty notes I get cigar tobacco, sherry and cherries. Roasty flavour, moderate notes of sherry, whisky, oak and cherries. Very enjoyable.

March 2014: 375 ml synthetic corked & caged green bottle (nearly impossible to open), Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Bottle No. 4881 of 9992. ABV is 10.2%. Cloudy brown colour, moderate off-white head. Strong, sweetish and very malty aroma, notes of oak, over-ripe berries and caramel. Very sweet, rich and malty flavour. Notes of caramel and over-ripe bananas, plenty of oak. Will probably improve with a few years in the cellar. Not a favourite as it is.

Shared 330 ml can at Christmas Eve, we all hated this one. A terrible Radler with n/a beer and Norwegian "julebrus" (Christmas soda) - aroma and flavour of bubblegum, chemical waste and vomit. Message to Klokk: It is allowed to make experiments, but when the experiment is not successful, it is also allowed to pour the entire batch down the drain. You just can't sell crap like this.

February 2002: I got this in a 4,7% version in Norway some years ago. According to other reviewers, the slightly increased alcohol hasn't helped much. Are the Swedes as unsuccessful with beer as they are in the Winter Olympics?
