The beer poured a translucent pale gold colour with a thin cream coloured head. Aroma was weak spices, grains, and soap. Mouthfeel was medium bodied with mild carbonation. Flavour was boring, mainly tasting like a spiced blonde ale.

Shared with a friend. The beer poured a coca-cola colour with a brown head. Aroma was roasted malt, coffee, and some molasses. Mouthfeel was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavour was well balanced between the coffee roastiness and the molasses sweetness.

The beer pours a very dark brown with black hues and a thick creamy light brown head. The aroma is roasted malt, coffee, and dark chocolate. The mouthfeel was medium to full bodied, slightly creamy, with ample carbonation. The flavour is quite bitter with roasted malt and coffee flavours backed by some chocolate. No sweet notes to be found.

Pours a very dark coca-cola colour with absolutely no head. None whatsoever, barely a ring. Aroma is roast coffee, dark chocolate, and hints of vanilla. Mouthfeel is full bodied with good carbonation. Flavour is roasted malt and dark chocolate. Some smoke comes through, and unfortunately so does the alcohol. Looks great, great body, but the rest of it just doesn't do it for me at this price point.

The beer was poured a solid blackish-brown with a creamy light brown head which shrank to a ring. The aroma was roasted malt, coffee, and vanilla. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour was roasted malt, coffee, and some sweet notes. Not as dry and bitter as a Kostritzer, and quite tasty.

The beer pours a translucent dark orange colour with red highlights and a 1" off-white head which quickly recedes to a ring. Aroma was sour grains, sweet pumpkin, and plenty of spices. The mouthfeel is medium-full bodied, slightly creamy, with medium high carbonation. The flavour is definitely spiced pumpkin and sour grains. A sweet finish as opposed to bitter. Pretty nice beer, but far from my favourite pumpkin beer.

The beer a solid black colour with brown edges, and no head, despite a vigourous pour. The aroma is roasted malt, chocolate, and coffee. Mouthfeel is medium-full with medium carbonation. Flavour is definite roast with hints of chocolate and caramel. Easy drinking, but not outstanding.

Beer pours a dark hazed gold colour with a half inch white head. Aroma is banana, cloves, and rust. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium application. Firmer than most Hefes. The flavour is earthy, peppery, with wheat and citrus.

Beer pours a transparent golden-red colour with a medium tan coloured head. The aroma is light caramel malts, weak citrusy hops, and some acidic notes. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour was slightly sweet with caramel notes, and a weak bitter finish. The worst Beer Academy beer so far.

This is an ugly looking beer. Looks like an unfiltered dark apple cider. It pours a very hazed golden-brown with no head. The aroma is yeast, apples (maybe the cider comment isn't off the mark) and some grains. I don't get any of the funk associated with Biere de Gardes. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour has the funk I was missing in the aroma, with yeasty notes, and hints of apple.
